why is the popcorn that we pop at home tough. We are using a counter popcorn popper and have tried just about every type we can find and it is tough. We have put it in the refrigerator and not in the refrigerator and it is still tough. What are we doing wrong? Thank for your help
I have looked up the problem, and there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer. Some articles say that too much moisture results in tough popcorn. Others say too little moisture causes it to be tough. I would suggest you try popping some on the stovetop and see if it comes out better. (Then you can blame the popper)
Nan, I think it could be because it is old...not fresh enough to be tender.
