The young are impressionable and idealistic. They haven't lived long enough to have perspective on life's issues. At 20 you can have mass quantities of knowledge but you lack wisdom. Wisdom comes with age and experience. Wisdom is applied knowledge along with life's experiences. I was very idealistic in my youth. I'm still optimistic but I'm more realistic and see things for what they are not for what I want them to be. I achieve, in spite of the obstacles. It makes me a better person and I don't want more control in my life and have others tell me what's good for me. I know what's good for me, now leave me alone!
The young tend to believe in a utopian existence, "Why can't we all get along?" The young buy into the concept that life is fair and if it isn't you just pass laws and make it fair, right? The young have been taken care of by their parents, their schools, their families. They don't have the experience of living and making it on their own, so they see no problem with government control as long as they get a promise of a free benefit from it. Work? Why, if I can get it from the government. I have a right, to it! I don't care if that rich guy has to pay more for my existence, they owe me! Really? Why? What did you do to deserve it? Everyone would like to get something for nothing but if everyone is doing it than who's producing it?
No one should be poor, right? No one should be denied health care, right? Save the planet, save the spotted owl, save the polar bears, save the one-eyed newt? And on and on! Screw big business, screw the Wall Street "Fat Cats", screw people that drive SUV's, screw Capitalism!!!
It's naive and makes the young vulnerable to those bearing "candy" and promises of the "perfect" world. The problem is, those offering this utopian existence have an agenda. This agenda is control, and is masked by false promises that can not be attained. Here, in the U.S. we were founded on the principles of hard work and achievement and freedom. That means if you study, if you work hard and save you can attain any level of success that you wish. If things are given to you, then you don't appreciate them like you would if you had to work for it. And if things are given to you, what do you have to give up in return?....freedom!
In a totalitarian or socialist world there is no incentive to achieve. Why? If I'm going to get the same benefits if I don't work as I do if I do work, what's the point? It doesn't mean there aren't "classes" of people, on the contrary, there are, the general masses as one class and the rich ruling class that lives off the hard work of everyone else as the other. Here in the U.S. everyone had access to health care before this latest plan but now we have to give up freedoms and control over our lives so that a minority, less than 10% of our fellow citizens, can have registered, controlled health care, meanwhile, everyone else's plan gets more expensive with less access and quality. How is that right?
Do you really want to live in a world where your fate is sealed at birth, where no matter how hard you work you will never have the chance to get ahead? How efficient can that life be? The products that are made are not made well because you can't get fired for being incompetent. No new products are developed to make life easier for you because there is no reward for it, so what's your incentive? What's the point?
There is an old saying, "if you are young and not a liberal, then you have no heart, and if you are old and not conservative, you have no brain". It is OK to be a liberal as a young person. You are just getting your feet wet in the world and are becoming aware of it's problems so you understandably don't want to see people suffer or animals to be harmed so you believe in fanatics' rantings about easy solutions and man-made problems that can be reversed but what you don't see is the natural life and death struggle waged no matter how much money you throw at it. Volcanoes will still erupt and spew out toxins into our atmosphere hundreds of times worse than any industry, you will still see animals eating one another as a natural cycle of life, you will still see crazy fanatic dictators trying to take over and control the world and you will still see global warming (and cooling) caused by the natural cycle of sunspots, el nino, and the Earth's axial variations.
In your youth you learn compassion, that's a good thing. You should never lose your compassion. But you must "be aware of sheep in wolves clothing". You don't get something for nothing. There's always a catch. That doesn't mean that getting older and more wise is a depressing thing. Oh no, it just means that you have all the opportunities that a free society can offer you and all you have to do is work for it. Don't believe all that people tell you, they have an agenda, yes, even me. I want you to be the best that you can and not depend on someone else to give it to you.
By the way, the polar bears are fine, the last report, just a few months ago, showed that their numbers are growing and higher than they have been since the 1970's. The polar ice caps are expanding not declining and the spotted owl, in the latest studies done in Oregon and Northern California, found that their population is increasing and that the lumber industry had no effect on them. If their tree was knocked down, they just moved to another one. Guess who did all those initial studies about doom and gloom, young people, that's right, college and graduate students doing thesis papers to get a degree and looking through life's prism. Ya' think they had a dog in the hunt? You betcha!
The young are encouraged to support the dictatorshiop because it is the young who are going to be asked to die for it.
The Judge Says:
Young people vote with their heart .Old people vote with their brain.
The Nazis won their support primarily from the lower middle class and the peasantry. These voters were strongly nationalistic in their political views and feared that the depression would deprive them of their standard of living. Most of Germany's industrial workers continued to vote for the Social Democrats, which remained the largest party, with 143 seats in the Reichstag.
"The weak must be chiselled away. I want young men and women who can suffer pain. A young German must be as swift as a greyhound, as tough as leather, and as hard as Krupp's steel."
The Hitler Youth was a logical extension of Hitler's belief that the future of Nazi Germany was its children. The Hitler Youth was seen as being as important to a child as school was. In the early years of the Nazi government, Hitler had made it clear as to what he expected German children to be like:
Unfortunately, totalitarian governments, and their official presses, buy paper by the ton and ink by the barrel. Self-serving leftist dictators use that medium to spread the most infamous lies that can be imagined.
In time, even rational persons begin to believe some of these things, because they have been systematically denied the truth, hidden behind leftist/atheist obfuscation and lies. Then, of course, those same leftists accuse all others of their tactics.
It is called, PREJUDICIAL REPORTING. The two Soviet publications, Pravda (truth) and Izvestia (news) proved the old adage that, "In Pravda, there is no Izvestia, and in Izvestia, there is no Pravda."
Even in America, we must approach the news with considerable skepticism: our news media is the official organ of Obamite racism and intolerance. Neither vice can be tolerated.
