Which political party created the public school system

I don't no which party created the school. But is was created for everyone to read the Bible. Pretty ironic now you can't even say a prayer in school or talk about God.

HEllo I do not remember if it was Ben Franklin or our 16 leadEr mR. Lincoln. but it was way before 1930's period. Note some schools had been broke since the last great depression period. because of business stundents a waste of tax payers money. in chicago there's only 10% white. rest are american blacks or mexicans. plus illegal immigrants. our schools system is like # 50 behind other countries. yeap we have 3rd. class school sysyem now. I'd say 10 to 1 it was the democrats!! Like everything the government and the democrats do, usually fail!!  Hey! I'm just being honest. 

Jamie is right it was the democratic party. It is yet another form of socialism, give a free education to every child, because they need it. True, they do need it, but this idea let everyone know that it costs nothing to raise a child. You get free education for them, food for them if your salary is not enough, a bigger tax refund with each child you have, and you can even claim a friend if they happen to live with you and they make under a certain amount. What happened to the idea that you are financially responsible for the decisions you make? I have one biological child. Why should I pay more taxes to pay for the education, food, shelter, and even money to provide a child with an XBOX, when the child is not mine? It would be better if every parent was responsible for paying for each child's education, food...etc...Maybe people would be more careful if they knew the results of their actions would cost them, and not thy neighbor. Believe it or not, the democratic party are the racist ones, they give these things to the poor because they know blacks are poor, and they want to keep them poor, and they know what the results of giving out these things will be. They have the schools failing because they do not want to educate blacks properly. They can improve the schools, they just choose not to. Horace Mann,a self educated man went on to go to college.He was born in 1796.He studied Law ,was a Senator in Massachusetts,and during that time maintained a thriving law practice.He's greatest cause was the education of people.In 1837 he founded Secretary Of Education.He published annual reports on aspects of his work and programs ,and the intergral relationship between education, freedom, and REPUBLICAN government. So it was a Republican .I would say that what has happened to our educational system is due to the great influence of what would be known as Progressives. Sounds good , but if you do your research you will find it to be not so good.

The Reason America Should be Concerned about Obama’s Education Reform

Obama teaching good old fashion Socialism, Social Justice and Social promotion

As if liberals haven’t screwed up the education system enough, one of Obama’s next targets for reform is our education system. Yes, the same system that the liberals have had control over since the 1960’s. Before the liberals took over, children in the U.S. ranked number 1 and number 2 in Math and Science. Today, our children can’t even crack the top 30. Why? LIBERALS

 

Detroit’s public schools just posted the worst scores on record in national assessment test scores.

 

 

The Detroit Public Schools posted the worst scores on record in the most recent test of students in large central U.S. cities.

 

 

The scores came on the Trial Urban District Assessment, a national test developed by the Governing Board, the National Center for Education Statistics of the U.S. Department of Education and the Council of the Great City Schools.

 

America needs to wake up and realize what Liberals have done to our education system. Look at the top 10 school districts in the United States and you can see the results of over 40 years of liberal reform. Washington, D.C., Chicago, Michigan and California are all predominately ran by liberals. The Mayors of all these cities are mostly liberal democrats. What do these cities get? High crime, high poverty and a terrible education system. A prime example is Detroit.

Detroit has been under liberal control for decades. Would you want to live there? Would you want to send your children there for their educational needs.

If you answered “NO,” why would we be happy when Obama, a super liberal, announces that he wants education reform? Will they make it better or worse? Take a look at the liberals and their history with our education system for the past 40 plus years and you will see the results and get your answers.

These results are the reason liberals, and liberal teachers and their unions, protest standardized testing. These tests show what our children have learned and if they don’t pass, the teachers do not receive their bonuses. That’s why we have children under-performing and being passed in the name of social promotion.

One of the biggest problems in our education system is the teacher’s union. They are not looking out for the best interest of our children. They are interested in collecting dues than educating our youth.

We all know what happens when the government sticks it’s nose into any program. It only gets worse. I’m sure Mr. Hopenchange will make it all better with his doctrine forcing our children to believe that government is the answer when we all know it’s the problem.
