Why is it hard to have a conversation with a liberal? It seems like there only response is well at least its not Bush. I really don't know why they want to raise the taxes on people when the people in there own party don't even pay their taxes.
I'm so confused Help!
Who said it was just liberals who pass the blame, and don't pay their taxes?
Your right sorry i didn't mean all Dem's don't pay their taxes. I will limit that to congressman and senators and over 50% of people that Obama has tried or got appointed like Timothy Geithner Who is now in charge of the IRS.
Poor California is going broke from all the spending. It seams like the people in that state are getting tired of their taxes going up and the Governor wants to raise money buy selling the states assets.
Breaking news today Congress is now talking about what they can tax to pay for healthcare. This is what they came up with, they will tax soda, alcohal, cap and trade, and healthcare of the people that already have it.
if they tax soda and alcohal that means they are taxing the middle and lower class to.
It is not difficult to have a conversation with anyone if you really listen to what the other person has to say. That takes an open mind. Do you have an open mind, or is so made up already that you can't see the other person's point of view? If you are trying to change someone over to your views, that could be difficult. But then, if you go about your discussion in the right way, the other person could gain respect for you as a person. I find that an awful lot of consevatives on here(though certainly not all or even the majority), when they don't have an answer to a question, don't try to figure it out or research it, they just resort to name calling and massive generalizations, etc. How do you think that makes a person feel? Do you think they are going to listen to that? An honest discussion when respect for the other persons views or information is concerned can be very helpful.
Good luck in your communication efforts.
So let me see if i understand you, Your saying i need to have an open mind. Well I do have an open mind . However when you live in a liberal state that is very unionized and if you say anything in this state that isn't a liberal idea all they say is at least its not bush.
Maybe you have an open mind and thats great. But i have yet to met one in this state. But when there are congressman that haven't been paying their taxes i don't care what party they are in I wont have an open mind. Because there is not an excuse for it.
Now if the tax code it to difficult then scrap it and do a flat tax or a sales tax.
One could ask the same thing about many conservatives on Yedda whose answer to everything is that the president is either a Muslim or a socialist or both. People on all sides who ask and answer questions politely tend to hear from others who want to have a civil dialogue, not a war of words
The logic behind taxing alcohol and soda is that they both cause massive health problems that, we ,the good old middle class have to pay for.
It is because unions exist that other workers make more money and have benefits as well. If the unions disappeared tomorrow, wages would hit the floor and vacations and health care would be gone in a flash. Safety measures would not be taken to protect workers. Unions help keep the entire workforce in the USA better off.
