Discuss PEP's answer to: Poetry and the mountains/namely Adirondack

How many folks out here live in the Adirondack Mountains.....any one live in the Lake Champlain area/ anyone write poetry/print some here

I live in Indiana, but I love the mountains. I have written some winter poems, and one mountain poem. But nothing specifically about the Adirondacks. Have you written poetry about them?

The million year mountains/I try to gather poems/the lilacs/the bear/the streams/pools of water/the ice fishers/we gather cedar branches to lean against the house/the berries dry on the vine/this land is massive/ the sky umbrella/a blue carpet/a hole we climb in once a month to hear the peace /the land speaks/and we rock ourselves back to sleep

This is beautiful! You have taken me there.  What is the hole image? A cave?

The whole place is the hole/to me/last week it was under-10 degrees and we went to places of imagination.  The cold knocks you out/every minute is a creative adventure
