Put apart the pieces and plant one by one.  In addition, some 15 c"m above the bulb, on the old stem you'll find several additional "reproducing bulbs" (I am not familiar with the English name) they are the best for planting !.

Hi there,

I recommend pulling apart the bulb and plant only the largest cloves, descard any small ones or ones that are pitted. Set the bulbs pointy end up 2 inches deep into your soil and plant each one around 5 inches apart.

Good luck!

Separate the bulb into bulb-lets. Each bulb-let is the one planted on your plots or beds.

I've never heard that garlic helps roses grow, but I have heard that planting garlic and onion around a garden can keep away various insects that attack plants. Other than that I can't think of any way that garlic will make roses grow better.
