Why is a picture file automatically attaching itself to all of my sent emails???

I attached a picture to an email I sent this morning. Now - every time since then when I send an email, that picture ends up being attached to each and every email, even though I've not attached it to any others!

HELP - what do I do? I've looked through the mail settings and don't see any settings related to this. I've NEVER had this happen before, so am rather clueless, and feel like I can't send anymore emails until I get this resolved.

thanks,

Lori K.
