P&L is notorious for inconsistency in their editorial turnaround.  One manuscript will be approved in a week, another will be rejected in a minute.  If they received your manuscript and have not acknowledged it within a week, you may wish to send a discreet note to the editor asking if they received it.

 

If so, they will eventually get to it.  Patience is definitely in order.
