Is there philanthropist's who give money to private citizens?

looking for a philanthropist to save my husbands small business, thereby saving him and our family.  the economy has nearly ruined the business and we are going to lose everything.  i can't work due to an illness, stress is at an all time high.  scared.  two small boys.  where do we go from here? it is not only the poor that need need help, does that sound selfish?  God, I hope not.  I really hope not.  I have always tried to help my neighbor.

Hi, I don't know if I am doing this correctly as I have never joined any blogs or anything like that. However as I was checking out philantropists your question came up while surfing and seeing that not one person responded made me kind of sad. I myself am very poor and actually could easily take care of some things in my life with a couple hundred thousand dollars. I just wanted you to know that if I were a philantropist without judgement, I certainly would give to an individual. I know there are people in this world that if evaluated would or could top others as far as necessity goes but the one thing I feel for and with you is scared. I know this isn't the lifeline you were hoping for but I just wanted you to know that I feel for you. I hope there is a philanthropist out there that will help you. Sincerely, Kate.

Dear Kate,

Wow, you have made my day with your reply.  What a beautiful person you must be.  When I posted that question I must have been feeling at an all time low because I normally do not do that kind of thing.  I actually forgot all about it.  Things have not gotten better, only worse.  However, I have come to realize that there are much more important things in this world than possessions.  Even more important than your home.  We may lose it all, but we are survivors and will continue on, and hopefully our love for one another will sustain us for a while.  This ordeal will be a good lesson for my kids.  Hopefully they will learn that family is the only thing you need sometimes.  Of course that is hard for them to grasp when there is only beans and bread for dinner.  Again.  LOL  Just want to thank you for giving me hope in society and realizing that there are people out there that will support you, even if you do not know them.  God bless you and keep you safe from harm.
