What Do You People Feel About This Situation? Is It Cause I'm On A Medicaid Hmo? Why Do They Screw Us Over?
It's an issue of businesses that get too big. Pharmacies are highly profitable; that's why so many chains have popped up. But, there aren't enough qualified pharmacists to go around, so the position pays remarkably well. (Most pharmacists start out at $75K+ many perks) Because of this, many people have been lured into the field, despite having poor "people-skills".
Because the chains are paying so much for licensed pharmacists, they are hiring clerks at the lowest wage they can get away with. You get what you pay for.
And because people need their meds, these chains know that they can get away with treating customers like dirt. Welcome to corporate America, 2012.
