Will a normal dog bed be okay in a dog house or should I get one made for the outdoors? I want my dog to be comfortable and I want the bed to last fairly well.

Use an outdoor bed like a Kuranda bed - they are great platform beds, comfy, easy clean , won't rot . I get them here: http://www.dogbedworks.com - look at the outdoor beds
