About once or twice a year.  I have a tiger stripe , the larger version of Dave's kitty.

when I received this kitty they said he was the last of his litter to be adopted.  I assumed he would be ugly!  But he is a handsome fellow, don't you think?

WOW!, Linda that is an impressive cat, ...very hansom guy! My lil 'Lucky', he is a tiger stripe tabby too and won't get to be that big. But then, I did want a small type of cat...and he fits the bill. But he is a feisty lil guy, bites and scratches a lot. Hope that is a faze he will outgrow when he gets older.....LOL! Tongue out

Dave, you yourself can determine how rough the cat plays. Play with him gently and he will play gently with his claws in and not scratching.  But if you play too rough he will play rough in response. I learned this the hard way! Surprised   I was playing too rough with him, he backed off about 30 seconds to fool me and then ran up and bit me in the knee. Ouch!  So I learned to play gently, so that he never gets it in his head to be nasty with me.

OK, Linda I just seen this, don't get emails about comments anymore with AOLA. But he has had this bad attitude from the day I got him...Sure he gets friendly when he wants a comfy lap to sleep on or a good ear scratching. But generally he doesn't like to be touched at all.
