why does a mom hamster take its babies in her wheel and start to run?Two of my baby fancy dwarfs just got out of the nest.The mom Cupid took one and started to run.She let the baby go ,but left him in the wheel.She took the other one by the scruff,and started to run with one in her mouth and one on the bottom of the wheel.I am only 8,and this is my first hamster that had babies.Please help me with my hamsters.Also she did this with the other ones.They were just born November ,5 ,2009,and today is 11,11,2009.This just happened today.once again please help.Thanks.

Hi Kathy,

This does not sound right to me. The babies are much too young for the mother to be running on the wheel with them. My advice to you is to get your mom or dad to call a veteranarian, to ask them what to do in this situation. Usually it is not a good idea to seperate the babies from their mother, but this time it might be necessary. Good luck and let me know what happens ok.
