Can a debt collector be sending a fax to an employer with a persons name and social security number wanting pay information

Hi William.  To the best of my knowledge, not unless they are planning to garnish the employees wages and generally, they need a court order to do that.

this sounds like a legal question to me. If they are jeopardizing your job, there should be something illegal about that sort of thing.
