I am a 41 year old and my last period was on July ...

I am a 41 year old and my last period was on July 25 I am wondering if my diabetes has anything to do with me not having them and I have already had 2 urine tests that are negative for pregnancy and a blood test that is negative also. My husband and I had unprotected sex on July 24 he is fixed also .

While women who have irregular periods are more likely to develop Type 2 Diabetes, there is no data on Diabetes affecting the Menstrual Cycle.

It could be that you are experiencing Early Menopause.  To be on the safe side, I would suggest you get an exam from a GYN.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Sheila, You may be having signs of perimenopausal syndrome. This is the period between 8-10 years before one reaches the menopause which is normally 51 years of age. So your periods may be inconsistent, may be heavy, very light or very irregular. The hormones estrogen and progesterone levels are dropping that's why you're experiencing this. Go see your OB/Gyn doctor and discuss this with her/him. You may be given a low dose of birth control pills so that your hormonal levels will be better. Take care.
