Some post just for fun. Some because their family does and they want them to join in. Some think it is big stuf to show themselves to the world. Some want to show pictures of their kids to the family and their friends. Some find it a good way to commuicate with school friends or groups of friends all at once. Teens have their own million reasons I could not imagine. Newsgroups use it for their personal advantage to gather news. I think that is enought.

I doubt that it will leave much of a long lasting record other than a familly tree. Surely all those pictures will not be long preserved.
