Discuss Woldeyesus's answer to: Some people On Here Claim To Be All Wise Knowing God, Yet They Don't Believe Jesus Christ Is God. Does Scripture Say He Is?

Jesus Christ is God The scriptures bear abundant testimony that Jesus Christ is God. Some liberal preacher will say to me, "You take the Bible literally. It's just myths." I answer, "Yes, I ...

"Jesus is Lordis easier said than proved by anyone (including the writers of the Scriptures)! The Lordship of Jesus is based on but beyond Scriptures in themselves (inspired as they may be) and beyond one's personal faith (even if the real thing).

Only by the exclusive revelation of the Holy Spirit at Christ's perfect and transfigurative death on the cross (the reader should check out the detailed works of evidence), can one know beyond any shadow of doubt that Jesus Christ is absolute Lord over death and life --with a brand new life to show  for it! (John 3: 1-21; 16: 5-15; 19: 30-37; Matt. 16: 13-28; 17: 1-13; 26: 63-64; 27: 50-561 Cor. 12:3

The conclusive proof will be in the answer to an  altruistic prayer! AMEN.

Wodeyesus   I don't know if you had followed any of my posts in my debate with the Kid.  I agree with you about "The lordship of Jesus is based on but beyond Scriptures in themselves and beyond one's personal faith."   I do believe "Jesus is Lord"  but I also believe he is above all comprehension here on earth.  I trust that he will give guidance to many.   I have no Idea of where I  stand  on that.  The one thing I don't want to do is be wrong about Christ.

Mike, Congratulations on “not wanting to be wrong about Christ": an excellent starting point. Coming from Christ himself, the following will help all of us.

Briefly, we have all the guidance required for sustainable faith based on firsthand knowledge of God in Christ Jesus as promised in VISION of his self-revelation for anyone who accepts and obeys his own death-specific commandments (John 14: 15-21) --a breakthrough! This is exactly what Simon Peter applied in his short but powerful message on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2).

For our assurance, this is fully backed by development ranging from first-day INITIATIVES on screening of disciples (John 1: 35-51); via BREAKTHROUGH thoughts on Christ’s identity and authority, as “I Am Who I Am”, whom “not even death will EVER be able to overcome”, i.e., self-sufficient life (John 8: 21-28; Matt. 16:13-28, resp.); via FOLLOW-UP (notice) on simultaneous, critical work of the Holy Spirit (John 16: 5-15); to the  CLIMAX of Christ’s defining moment as absolute Lord over death and life in his perfect and transfigurative death on the cross on command "It is finished!" (Matt. 27: 50-56; John 19: 30-37).

To sum up, personal experience of Christ’s exercise of his twofold rights over death and life          (Ibid, 10: 17-18), including one’s own, is in the menu (Ibid, 3: 1-21)! By the grace of God, it can still work constantly (Ibid, 12: 35-36). Amen. PTL! Cool

Under the terms of the "new covenant", the real proof for the deity of Jesus Christ will be written on people's hearts but not in the Scriptures. With his image engraved in us, we will all have firsthand knowledge of Jesus Christ beyond any shadow of doubt.
