Peeling Car Paint

hyundai.com We own a 2005 Hyundai Tucson, one of the first ones bought in our area. We noticed the paint on the door handles and windshield wipers was coming off. We went to our local dealer, where we have had all our warranty work at since the vehicle was purchased, to have this remedied. Their response was that this happened to a lot of these older vehicles and Hyundai has since changed the handles and windshield wipers so this no longer happens. We have always taken care of our car and it has always been garaged. Since our vehicle is just under the 7 year warranty but over the 100,000 mile warranty they could not help us. Why, since Hyundai was aware of this problem, were we and other owners not notified to have this problem fixed. What great PR for Hyundai. Between business and personal vehicles we own 7 with 2 of them being Hyundais. Larry H Miller Hyundai suggested that we buy touch up paint and fix it ourselves. This is not an acceptable answer. He also, ofcourse, tried to sell us a new one. I have owned cars for over 50 years and never has the paint come off of any of them.
