Paul, a Pharisee or a Sadducee

How do we know the translation from the Hebrew was correct. From what I understand the Hebrew words for Pharisee and Sadducee are very similar The recounting of events make no sense if Paul was a Pharisee, but does make sense if he actually was a Sadducee and the son of a Sadducee. Since the name of Yeshua was mistranslatedm verses were added to 1st John, then is it possible an honest mistake was made on Paul?

Paul was not considered a Pharisee or a Saducee AFTER he repented. There is no such thing as an "honest mistake" when it comes to those mistranslations, Phil, some of them were deliberate.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love YHWH, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
