Can linguini be used in place of spaghetti?  I have the sauce made but find I have no spaghetti - please help - I don't want to have to make a trip to the store for this one item.

Sure you can used liguini.  You could even use elbow mac but I myself would prefer linguini.

Most Definitely, its more or less spaghetti, just a bit flat oval shaped!!

Sure!  any type of pasta goes with any type of pasta sauce.  Since linguini is so plain, if you don't have any big chunks of onion or diced tomatoes, add some to add variety.  A fresh garden salad or some fruit plus some bread sticks should make your family a wonderful meal!
