Apparently  there is no permanent cure for Paranoia. There are two common ways to treat it: psychoanalytic or with insulin. Paranoia can be controlled with medicine but once it's there it's a life long condition.

Paranoia is like alcoholism in some respects; it is a disease and there is no getting rid of it, but there are ways to live with it. That's why alcoholics call themselves recovering alcoholics and do not say they have recovered because there is always the possibility to relapse. However, knowing all this, it is more than feasible and absolutely possible to build a life free of paranoia with the right lifestyle factors.

Live life to the fullest.

If anyone is paranoid it's me since I am afraid to write this but...throughout life, periodic episodes of paranoia may be warranted as healthy fear and keep someone from doing something they shouldn't.

My boyfriend suffered from paranoia, thought people were following him and that I was arranging it, thought my friends were getting people to follow him, thought Scott Mills was playing a song on the radio aimed at him etc and I made his familly aware and they made him go to a priory clinic. They've put him on medication used for schizophrenics although my boyfriend was diagnosed with severe social anxiety and depression. He's on 50 milligrams and the therapist has said he doesnt need therapy as he's better. the only problem is I asked him if he still thinks all the strange stuff happended to him and he still thinks it has but the drugs are blocking it out of his mind. We havent argued for ages but i'm really scared that if he comes off the medication, because he hasnt had therapy it will all surface again.
