Greg, do you truly mean paranoia or is what you suffer from a form of depression? Do you feel like everyone is against you? Are you afraid all the time or just around social situations? These questions need to be addressed before anyone can give you a reasonable and responsible answer. However, if what you have is social anxiety, I would suggest joining a small group near your home and slowly getting to know those in your group. try to avoid larger groups and crowds until you feel more comfortable.
