I have a C FREEMAN capital letters, I had it appraised at 200 to 300 hundred.  It is a landscape, the a lake in the back and a small waterfall into a pond in front with a dirt path going back into the trees on the right and a yellow/pink sky.  It is 3 feet by 2 1/2 feet.  There is a C. Freeman that is famous but mine it not. What does your's look like? Pamela

I also have a painting signed by C Freeman. It appear to be an original and it is the same as you describe yours.  I've looked on the internet and am having a hard time finding much on "C Freeman".  Found one painting for sale on EBay for a smaller painting - but like I said have not been able to find anything else. There is a art dealers website that may hold the answer - I may have to subscribe to it to answer my question of the paintings value.

I just picked up a 12X14" still life signed C. Freeman at a local D.C. area resale shop.  I too have been searching to find out more about this artist. I have discovered larger floral still life pieces by this artist on line for $100-$350. The piece appears to have a classic style, representing a bottle of wine with ornate (French?) label, a basket of grapes on the vine, a cherry and peach on a table top with a small glass of poured wine. The use of light and dark and reflection is lovely on this piece and indicates a professional artist. I have it now hanging above my wine racks and bar area in my serving room. It is professionally framed, Perfect for the piece with a bronze guilded simple wood frame. I am interested in any further information anyone has on this artist and I will post anything I find. I am interested in a biography, and wondering if this is a local mid century artist. Nice to know there are others with similar pieces and the resale value is in the hundreds. It is worth that. worth more if we could figure out who this artist is. Keep looking.
