Painting director's chairs

I need to paint 3 old "director's chair".

i bought silk painting. Should i prepare them before painting? shoud i mix the paint with terpentine to diluite?

Answers

I would sand the chairs before painting them to give them an even texture. After the painting place a polyurethane coat on top to keep it hard.  No need to mix. Color and  wait a couple of days.
