How to take the pain away

hi, my dog will be 15 in 2 1/2 months and she has arthritis really bad sometimes she needs help getting up, she takes very small steps if i'm in the kitchen or if i have to take a shower to get ready for work she stands and waits for me. then she ends up with alot of pain and crys as she's walking. my dog is a dalmation. thank's viktor j. saldaña

Giving your dog a warm bath a few times a week will help her blood circulation and relax her muscles, and make her feel more comfortable. Massage therapy works great for arthritic pain in people, and it probably works well for dogs too. Aspirin works well as an anti-inflammatory for people. I think it is well worth a try on your dog. You can fabricate a walker for your dog using a toy cart, or even carry your dog on the toy cart, so that she does not have to stand up and walk in pain.

I had given my Black Lab Rimaydl, perscription only, non steroid for arthritis.

I would suggest taking to Vet, have blood work, and if everything check's out,start the medicine..they will monitor liver function while on the med..

My Lab passed away after 14 yr's. I did have him on the medicine, and it really helped him..If he had not taken this he would not even be able to get up and down..helped him to be functional everyday.. proably have other med's also, but I know this is used quite often,,,I have answered this truthfully, and hope it may be of some help to you...
