Paid holiday

New jersey dept of labor. I am an employee paid hourly. My employer told me if i take a day off brfore or after the holiday i do not get paid for the holidat. There are only 4 people in the office. Is this true?

I'm not sure if this is a state or a Fed regulation. In AZ it is true, it also applies if you're sick on the day before/after.

GIVE a man a fish and you feed him for a day. TEACH a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. SADLY, most fishermen are afraid to touch the worm.

Paid holidays are also called statuary holiday. These are legal holidays that are provided bt the governemnt of that country.
