Whoever told you that xanax was considered an antidepressant and not a benzodiazepine is totally incorrect.  Xanax is considered a narcotic.  It is a triplikit prescription.  It is in the schedule II class of drugs which means it is highly addictive.  Xanax is only good if it is not abused.  However, most people who take xanax do abuse it to some degree.  Your mother who takes Trazadone is better than xanax because Tradone is not addicting.  Ask your doctor to prescribe only 100 mg. of Trazadone rather than the 300mg.  Whenever a drug has a dose of .25, 1.5, 2. it is very powerful.  The smaller the miligrams on drugs they are the most powerful ones.  It stands to reason why your xanax is being stolen.  However, I would be more careful with it in the future and also continue to take it only as prescribed.
