In your opinion which is worse: discouraging child-inappropriate TV or discouraging racist/sexist/homophobicTV?

The Parents Television Council is an example of an organization that aims to discourage TV shows it considers inappropriate for chilren. The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) is an organization that aims to encourage "fair, positive, and accurate" depiction of LGBT people in the media; it has criticized media that it perceived as homophobic and public figures who made homophobic remarks.
I didn't even have to look at the name to know this question was posted by Andy.
Well depends on what network they are discouraging this on. If it is a kids network on which they discourage content which is not appropriate for kids, then fine. But if it was some network like HBO, then that is a different story.
I take no issue with the other one. If that organization feels that such TV is demeaning to them, then they have the right to fight against such TV.
In conclusion, I would have to say that the discouraging the child-inappropriate TV is the worse of the two. Parents should be the ones discouraging this, not committees. Imagine if all TV was G rated content.
