I appreciate the ease with which wedding gowns can be ordered online. I takes a lot of pressure off. How do you know that the gown will fit you? Do they take your measurements online too?

Yes, they will collect the measurements you provide for them online. But, it is really really important that you get a professional seamstress to do the measurements for you--or at least get someone to help you. There is no way you can get your measurements precise if you are trying to do it all yourself and chances are, it will come out wrong. If you get the measurements correct, your dress will fit like a glove...and that's pretty important! Also, a wedding dress does not fit the same as your regular clothes. So if you are a size 6, for example, then you might not be a size 6 in a wedding dress. It's best to get those measurements and get them right.

Yes, ordering online can indeed make your wedding gown purchase easy, but you have to be careful with some of the suppliers out there!

Usually, the dress supplier will have specific instructions as to how to measure yourself so that you order the size that will be right for you.

Do be sure that you order the size that will fit your largest measurement...you'll simply have to get the other areas of the dress altered by a competent seamstress.
