My daughter says I am old fashioned because I will not allow her to wear make-up (lipstick, nail polish). She is 14 years old. Is there someone out there who agrees with me?

I think it has to do more with boundaries than with the actual makeup or nail polish. You're allowed to be old fashioned, and she's allowed to give you a hard time over this. The fact that she's angry doesn't make you wrong and her right, and it doesn't imply the opposite either.

I think you have to examine why you're limiting her dressing up, and look at the reasons . If you can truthfully tell yourself you're doing it for the right reasons, by all means put your foot down. If on the other hand you forbid it because you think it's expected, or because she's too pretty or anything that you think is less relevant, make some concessions.

BTW, I think you should chart a plan with her. By the time you're 15 you can do this, but the time you're 16 you can do that etc. Maybe even go with her and purchase the next level when she reaches it. She might find it easier to comply by your wishes if she feels they're fair and have a time limit.

no you are not old fashion you are just not letting her grow up to soon so stay on her and one day she will understand one day when she have children of her own
