In the old religious movie, why was Jesus called Brian. And why did his mother call him a very naughty boy.
And why are the cheesemakers blessed.
Only on AOL answers would someone claim Monty Python's Life of Brian was a "religious movie".
It was a religious movie - about the true Jesus, his followers and the true birth of Christianity.
We should all heed the message.
Oh that's right it was a religious movie. I remember in the Bible where Jesus and his followers sang "Always look on the bright side of life". That was always my favorite part of Church every Sunday. That and the spam, eggs, spam, sausage, spam, spam, spam, eggs and spam breakfast they served afterwards. With a side of spam.
The Life of Brian was the idea of a bitter anti-theist named John Cleese. He was coarse, obscene, vulgar, and far less than appreciated when he attempted this surly attack on Christ Himself.
During their research for the movie, the other Pythons came to realize how wise are the words of Christ. Graham Chapman and Connie Booth finally said they would resign if Cleese continued with his hateful movie. Terry Gilliam said he would go with them and finally Terry Jones said he would go with the rest, and they would start a lighter hearted comedy troupe free of the madness Michael Palin always injected and the sheer nastiness Cleese demanded.
Cleese and Palin were the hangers-on and would go nowhere without Chapman and the rest -- regardless that Chapman had begun to show signs of AIDS.
They finally agreed to do the movie but it would be about an infant born at the same time as Christ, exposing false prophets of the time. They would cease persecuting the Church or its members. The new deal struck, they continued with what must be the best Python movie . . . that I have made a specific effort to boycott.
Although harpooned by the critics, my favorite Python movie was Yellowbeard. Cleese was just barely allowed in but Palin was not, which ended Monty Python. Palin then did Jabberwocky, but folks, it was disgusting. I walked out after ten minutes of play. It was that bad.

If it was a religious movie then where in the Bible do they mention Biggus Dickus?
It depends upon which version of the Bible... There are many.
In the Monty Python movie, Life of Brian. Brien wasn't Jesus.
Brien was born in the manger next door to Mary and Joseph's and basically spent his life living in Jesus' shadow.
