Old piggy bank safe?

I i've got an old wooden piggy bank safe. its got a metal front to it with a little glass door and a eagle on it. You are supposed to open it useing the little rotary lock on the front it goes up to 8 and it has halfes. does anyone know anything about this safe or how to open it without destroying it we forgot the code and its a 3 digit code any help would be great, thanks!
