How to find an oil rig jobs

Does anyone out there have any experience or knowledge of finding oil rig jobs in the U.S. for a young strong man w. no experience and some college? Thanks!

Have you tried applying to the companies that are in this line of business (and to their suppliers; quite a few of the folks on the rig / platform are consultants, etc from other firms)

Schlumberger, Shell, and so on...

I get my oil rig jobs in that way.
