What do you think of Barack Obama's presidency so far? Has he lived up to your expectations?
Breaking Up Is Hard to Do
The press finally falls out of love with Obama.
Robert Gibbs, the White House press secretary, was 50 minutes late for his briefing, apparently a record for tardiness, but few reporters in the White House press room bothered to feign outrage; they didn't seem all that eager to ask him questions anyway. When his boss flew to Missouri to give another of his "high octane" (The New York Times), "impassioned" (The Washington Post) health-care speeches, no cable channel covered the event. If you are president, the only thing worse than criticism is not being covered. And the truth is, we in the press are bored with Barack.
The "mainstream media" are losing patience with, and even interest in, their erstwhile hero. President Barack Obama never had a chance with the Ailes-Murdoch crowd, of course, and it didn't take the president long to offend the fierce left wing of the blogosphere. But now, finally, the MSM, which views itself as ideologically neutral, has found ideologically neutral reasons to lose patience with him: that he may be ineffectual; that he doesn't know how to play the game; that he can't get anything done. Exhibit A: the health-care bill. The Times's Frank Rich, the astute dean of the commentariat, wrote recently that Obama has failed to "communicate a compelling narrative" in office and, as a result, "could be toast if he doesn't make good on a year's worth of false starts."

I'm glad they are finally waking up and see all the lies and half truths that have been used on the American people all this time. It takes some people longer than others to finally catch on.If we're really lucky, everyone will wake up before everything that we have gones down the tubes. It's too much to ask that Obama will see what all he's done, or hasn't done, and will try to correct all his mistakes. We have to pray that the disasters that have been hitting other countries, don't show it's dirty head in ours. I think God is putting signs out to us, but not sure anyone is listening.Keep up your work, it is surely needed.
I guess the MSM want him to pull a Castro and finally establish a dictatorship - he is trying to do that anyway - I would feel better if they were upset with him because he has Communists in his administration and that he would cut off free speech in a second if he could. Keep sending emails and calling your senators and representatives - that is all we can do - but if this bill passes there are some that are for civil disobedience Are you ready and strong enough to do that?
this country was built with Guts, God, and Guns! When God gave this country, we began to defend it, Why should we stop defending it now? just because the devil bought His drivers licence 'acorn votes' and other under handed dollars spent for votes: dosen't mean he can drive off with our country, the best thing he could do is voluntary quit!
Amen to all of the above posts. People are finally getting sick and tired of Obama's BS! That's all he is good for is giving out the BullSh**. It is a shame the public was so trusting of him to begin with.
Hee, hee, hee. Thanks for including an article none of you actually read in full that doesn't mean what you think it means. Helps to read past the headlines, folks.
It is a great thing that the press is "falling out of love" with Obama. Now maybe he'll be treated as what he is and always portrayed himself to be: just a man. Not a "messiah", not a "savior". Just a man who has some different ideas from that last guy (who was also just a man) had and is surrounded by a talented group of people called an Administration.
And, of course as the author of the article states, "Obama never had a chance with the Murdoch/Ailes crowd." (cult) That is also completely correct. The propagandists at Fox ENTERTAINMENT lied, bullsh*tted, misrepresented, slandered and otherwise tried to destroy candidate and then President Obama from the day he announced. Why, it's their stock and trade. No matter how many times they're proven to be inaccurate, you guys just keep on watching.
And, I agree the President also has much better things to do than worry about what the Press thinks of him. They will do and say anything to sell papers or gain ratings. We are all sophisticated enough to realize that by now, aren't we?
Obama never asked for all the adulation poured on him. The election of the first black President made a great story and that's all the Press cares about. Something to fill newspaper space and airwaves. Now that he's in the trenches doing his job, they're bored. Maybe, they need a new Britney Spears meltdown to perk them up.
Anyway, it would behoove you to actually read the articles you post in what you think is a put down of Obama. Otherwise ya look a little....silly.
