Obama Supports India for UN Security Council

By the end of the first of his three days in India, he was promoting $10 billion in trade deals - completed in time for his visit - that the White House says will create about 54,000 jobs at home."

How was this figure calculated? By the very nature of the U.S.-India trade relationship, jobs will be created in India and (if U.S. firms are successful), wealth will be returned to American shareholders. Are Obama's "economic policy experts" perhaps assuming that U.S. corporations will choose to hire more people in the U.S. if their foreign operations are more profitable?

The vast discrepancy in income between U.S. and Indian workers means that any investments ($10 billion "deal") will result in the work being done and workers being hired in India, not in the U.S., with the exception perhaps of Indian purchases of things manufactured in the U.S. Oh, right, I forgot. We don't manufacture things in the U.S. anymore, except military technology, and that is much more expensive than what the Russians have to sell.

Personally I think the last thing we need is more countries with veto power over the decisions of the U.N. Rather than extending veto power to India it would make more sense to end the veto power the five "winners" of WW2 awarded themselves with, and have all countries equal in the UN as was originally envisioned.

Obama saved 200,000,000 jobs today for not being in America

lolll...you don't see this for what it really is: An admission that we cannot stop our right from destroying America's real arsenal - our industrial infrastructure and technological lead (such as it is) - in their greed and drive to inflict pain upon "labor", as they not-so-lovingly think of the American people.

So we need to cultivate those nations who do put their national interest ahead of the greed of their few, for they grow stronger at America's expense. Our Republicans - their eager representation of only our greediest few - leave us no alternative.

What would you do, if you lived in a gang-infested neighborhood and learned that you had become infected with an incurable wasting disease, if not cultivate those who are destined to become stronger than you?

Somes things are meant to be while some are not. Peace in the middle east is sadly one that isn't meant to happen. It is time this country realize this and wish them the best of luck. We have too many home grown issues to deal with. We need to take care of our own first and foremost. I know this will offend and I apologize but we are way too involved overseas at a time when all hands are needed here.

So let me see here: This phoney treks all over the world, spending huge amounts of our money, visits a bunch of Muslim countries, and pumps up Muslims while criticizing democratic countries.
I can hardly wait to vote this arrogant,narcissistic anti-American, worst President ever,out of office in 2012.
