I am about 5 hours and 30 minutes from NYC but I have to be honest and say that I have never been to the city. I want to go and take my daughter. She is 14. I'm not sure how safe it would be for just the 2 of us to go. Has anyone ever taken a charter bus trip to NYC? Is it fun? I almost think I want to go and do what we want and not go on a charter? Thoughts?

I had riding the bus. It is usually filled with bums, perverts and other low lifes. Rent a car or take Amtrak.
