How can a nursing home admit a patient who is un reponsive and the wife does not have a signed power of attn nor health surrogate form?

I believe she would have to get some form of legal permission, but that shouldn't be too awfully hard. The doctor might possibly write a recommendation.

They shouldn't, per patient's dignity. Adult briefs sometimes are used because they are not being toileted or care givers laziness! If they are incontinent they will probably get an adult brief. Hopefully it will be checked and changed at regular intervals.
