who cares if nuke power is safe ?    why use it ?  just drill for oil !

oil is the future !

The US Navy has safely been using Nuclear Power for about 50 years give or take a few. Not even one accident. No loss of life, no disease, no disaster. Nuclear in clean and safe. There has never in the history of mankind been anything that is 100% safe from any and all possible problems. If we had gone under the theory that we could not do anything until it was 100% safe under all circumstances, we would still be living the way prehistoric man lived. This is one of our resources that can be utilized to make us energy independent from all foreign governments, many of who would like to do us harm. We should utilize every one of our resources. Our future depends on it.

Nuclear power is sort of very unsafe. But the sort of is very important. We can't easily pretend there aren't risks in not knowing what nuclear power is about, and therefore it's better to be into using it, in the sense that we cannot know what other users do if we don't. Since very many parts of the world have nuclear power plants close by, few (I think it is) countries don't need the expertise there is in having their own power plants. Therefore there are greater risks in not handling them in ones own country, because then you can affect the rest of the world to handle them better! Right?

it is not safe because of its radiation

Of course it's safe you boob...what century are you yokels living in?

In a recent national poll, 72 percent of respondents expressed concern about potential accidents at nuclear power plants. Some opinion-makers have encouraged this trepidation: Steven Cohen, executive director of Columbia University's Earth Institute, has called nuclear power "dangerous, complicated and politically controversial."

Nope......look at chernobyl
