Non repairable rotator cuff tear

I had shoulder surgery august 14, 2008 i was told it was not repairable.  I am in therapy and have been since 2 weeks post-op. I am still having a lot of pain and can only get sleep with laying on my shoulder along with pain medications. I have loss of muscle and cannot pick my arm up when laying down. At night when i turn over if my arm is to close to the edge it falls to the floor and i have no strength at all to pull it up. Had anyone had simimular problems and do they get any better

Sandra, hi how are you doing this morning? i have had 4ops on left shoulder ,hurtarm falling off truck (i drove a car hauler from Detroit to san francisco)in 1994. Every day my shoulder hurts,it depends on what i do to wrong how bad it hurts  matters is your frame of mind. I hope your shoulder STOPS hurting you soon  !!but it may or not,its up to you how much it gets to you and at times it will. This is all true. when i was 21 i cut off my thumb&first finger of my left hand. It was about 11pm one night I was wondering what I was going to do? how was I going to make A living? The Gentleman in the next bed died.Two weeks later I got on with my life.All-toll now I have had 42 ops in my life.I hurt every day but every day I get my chainsaw out and cut wood because we heat with wood.Look its not about me its YOU were talking about,all iam saying is,times you will real bad times you will cry at night go-ahead and cry your not alone.Withe good doctors and good care you'll be OK.  All the best to you and good luck!!!!!
