In light of the injuries to Max Pacioretty and Sidney Crosby, do you think the NHL needs more focus on safety?
No. Hockey is a rough sport and those playing it know it. The equipment has gotten so much better over the years, and if you compare hockey with other contact sports, there are probably fewer major injuries.
I know. They could replace the ice with pea gravel, the skates with tennis shoes, the puck with a nerf ball, and make the sticks from foam rubber. That will reduce the injuries to zero. Hockey will become a safe sport.
And you won't be able to find it broadcast anywhere, even on ESPN13 at 3AM on Sunday morning.
No, that would be like making the same mistake the NFL did. Sports are suppose to be rough and playing one brings in the dangerous.
Nope that would ruin the game
Hell know...Thats what the fans want....Blood on the ice looks kool
Yes is is Now, and always was, is anything going to "Change"... No..
