The giant flag at the George Washington Bridge is an amazing sight. It is actually the largest free-flying American flag. It measures 90 feet x 60 feet and weighs 450 pounds! The NY Port Authority flies the flag only on major national holidays.

It is not flying today.  I read that it was retired on April 28 and my husband confirmed on the way home from work that it was not on the bridge.
