Is it really necessary to give out blu-ray DVD? I am not current in technology and regular DVDs are fine with me. Should I just give out gift certificate to places where people can buy the movies themselves?

Most people haven't gotten Bluray yet. And, like me, probably won't until the DVDs and players stop being 2 or 3 times more expensive than the regular ones. Gift certificates are always good for me.
