Cannot Get New Print Cartridges Into Printer

I purchased a cannon pixma MP150 printer and cannot install new cartridges.  I removed the old cartridges and cannot slide the new ones in.  Is there a trick to doing this?

Thank you for e-mailing me back.

I took my printer to work and have found out what I was doing incorrectly.  1.  I did not have the printer on when I tried to install the new cartridges.  2.  The cartridges should have been installed on the left side of the printer instead of the right of the printer.

Double check the cartridge numbers. Do you have a printer manual?
