Discuss jkgrandma's answer to: Budding as new

I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but the word "budding" as it regards "new" relates to rebirth or growth. As an example, picture what happens to flowering trees after a long winter ~ the new growth of soon-to-be-flowers is called buds.

Hence, "budding" as connected to "new."

what does a gardenia bud look like my plant has what look like buds  but then turn to new growth
