Do you have to train a cat to go to his or her litter box?

Yes. Kittens, like puppies need to be trained to use the box, but it is very easy to do. When you see them start to do their business, you scoop them up and put them in the box. Or, you take the pee or poop, put it in the box and then put the cat in the box. Cats like a nice clean area for this ...

How do you get your cat to adjust to a different ...

I also would suggest adding a little bit of the new litter into the old litter , but I would do it when you completely change the litterbox - it will probably take about 4 times. Cats get so used to a certain litter and have a hard time adjusting to a new one if done suddenly. GOOD LUCK!

No cat litter

Try using sand.

Not using litter box

Some cats won't use the litter box if other cat's are using it, or if it's dirty. If she is jealous of your other cats she might be trying to mark her territory by peeing, it is more common with male cats but females will do it too.
