presynaptic-situated proximal to a synapse or occurring before the synapse is crossed. postsynaptic means situated distal to a synapse, or occurring after the snapse is crossed. synapse the site of functional apposition between neurons.

synapse is an impulse transmitted from one neuron to another by electrical means.

What's an example of a pre and a post-synaptic neuromuscular disorder?
