Hello! I have had a netscape.net account for YEARS and I have never had any complaints until recently it stopped working! After the transition in 2006 I was told that I would have an aol.com account but I would be able to receive e-mails that were sent to the netscape.net domain. Now I recently found out, I haven't been receiving any forwarded emails from netscape since July!!! I need this account to work because I have other online accounts for different sites that send me password resets and invoices, etc. to the netscape account... how can I reactivate the netscape.net domain so that I can receive e-mails that are sent to it again? Also, when I log in to aol.com mail all my old netscape mail is gone :-( which isn't as big of a deal as not being able to receive e-mails but still sucks.
This is the error I get when I try to send an e-mail to myself from my other account with google:
Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: @netscape.net Technical details of permanent failure: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 5.1.1 <>: Recipient address rejected: netscape.net (state 14).
I just successfully sent you an email to that address.
They were able to make a "back end" fix after I alerted them of the problem by sending an e-mail to email@example.com.
This is what they sent me:
