I read that once a duck has laid her clutch of eggs , she finally sits on the eggs and does not leave for the 28 or 30 days. Is this true? and if so how does she get anything to eat or drink ...

no, my duck has eggs now but she does lay on them most of the day. She only leaves about 2-3 days a week and stays gone for only 10-15 min.

a duck in my development has nested in me shrubbery. i had been feeding her bits of white bread for a couple of months and i think she feels safe with me. should i keep feeding her. i put a bowl of water nearby that she has drunk from. also she is near my air conditioner. i have not used it because i was afraid the noise would bother her. is that correct. i'm very hot in the evening, but feel respoinsible for her. should i go to the pet store and but food for her? thanks!
