Discuss Rob's answer to: Need to build just one step for outside.

DIY-How to build a step. I need to build just one step to go from my patio door to the cement, so I do not need any risers.

A step down right outside a door can be potential for an unsuspecting person to trip if they don't pay attention.... I would do a landing of a few feet (if possible and then the step down with a hard rail.
