If you have a green pool, it sounds like you have an algae problem. You will need to shock your pool and treat it with an algaecide. You might have to repeat this several times. During the process of correcting your chemicals, you will need to make sure that your pool filter is functioning properly and operate it at least 8-10 hours a day while you are attempting to revive the pool. Also, brush the walls frequently and run your pool cleaners often.

Jessica has nice points there. However, weather is one factor and also debris or falling leaves will turn your pool green no matter how often you clean it. I would suggest the use of pool cover for maximum maintenance.

if you not properly chlorinate your pool with algaecide or not filter pool water regularly can turns your pool water green. so i will suggest to use pentair Clean & Clear Plus cartridge filter of 30 micron to capture more dirt and K CHLOR like high-performance salt chlorination system that lets you enjoy crystal-clear pool water.
